Scouting & Bushcraft Convention
In the early summer 2019 there is going to be the first gathering dealing with Socuting and Bushcraft topics. We are still working on the details, but we can already give you an overview of our plans and the conditions of joining.
What is a Scouting & Bushcraft Convention?
A Convention (lat. convenire = get together, in short Con) is an event, where people with similar interests come together to meet more people who share their hobby. Some conventions are also selling related products. In this case normal products are on offer as well as specially developed things, sometimes created by fans especially for the convention. To distinguish a Convention from a Fair is not always possible. Often shows and competitions are part of a convention.
Who is the organiser of the Scouting & Bushcraft Convention?
Jurtenland was an exhibitor on the Adventure Southside 2016, 2017 and 2018. An exhibition team, that worked very well together was formed in the process. At the end of 2018 some of the team members founded a non-profit association for organising futher exhibitions themselves. This association organises the Scouting & Bushcraft Convention without the purpose of gain.
Who do we want to adress?
Our topics should attract Scouts, people interested in wilderness and survival skills, individual tourists and anyone who deals with outdoor activities or is interested to learn more about them.
Wie umfangreich wird die Scouting & Bushcraft Convention?
Derzeit planen wir mit etwa 200 bis 300 festen Teilnehmer*innen und einem offenen Besuchertag, dessen Resonanz wir erst noch selbst erfahren müssen. Die potentiellen Veranstaltungsorte bieten Raum für 10 bis 20 weitere Aussteller neben Jurtenland und Time FoRest.
Jurtenland wird um die 15 bis 20 Workshops anbieten. Hinzu kommt die Möglchkeit für Teilnehmer*innen und Aussteller*innen eigene Workshosp und Vorträge anzubieten, so dass wir auf ein recht intensives, kompaktes Programm an dem Wochenende kommen.

Wofür stehen wir?
Der Verein Scouting & Bushcraft Convention e.V. setzt sich ein
- für die Förderung der Bildung und Erziehung in den Bereichen der Jugendarbeit, Natur- und Umweltpädagogik, Erlebnispädagogik
- insbesondere für Pfadfinder, Bushcraft und anderen Outdooraktivitäten
- sowie zur Bewahrung, Entwicklung und Verbreitung von handwerklichen und kulturellen Fertigkeiten.
Wichtig ist uns:
- ein achtsamer Umgang mit der Natur und unserem Mitmenschen
- ein weltoffenes, tolerantes Herz gegenüber allem Menschen, unabhängig von ihren Ideen, ihrer Gesinnung, ihrer Kultur, ihrers Glaubens...
Wann wird die Convention stattfinden?
Save the Date! Die Scouting & Bushcraft Convention wird erstmals im Frühsommer 2019 am 28. bis 30. Juni stattfinden. Evtl. gibt es bereits ein Wochenende früher Workshops zum Thema Jurtenburgen und Lagerbauten.

Was wird die Convention kosten?
Wir möchten hierzu ein recht günstiges Angebot machen. Der Verein als Veranstalter hat keine Gewinnerzielungsabsicht. Noch können wir jedoch keine konkreten Aussagen machen, weil wir vieles erst noch kalkulieren müssen.
